Default 1st Armoured Regiment soldier - 1940s/1950s

Here's a great pic of a 1st Armoured Regiment soldier wearing a chrome Rising Sun badge on his beret.

Probably taken in late 1940s or very early 1950s.

Thanks for showing that Mick, that looks like a full size RS and not a collar badge size.

Yes mate - they wore a full size chrome Rising Sun badge.

Also the large chrome RSB was worn by several other regiments before they got their own badge - 15th NRL, 7/21 AH and 6 NSWMR.
