Can anyone tell me if there are any books on Royal Navy badges and insignia, and if so what are the details etc. Thanks. Alex

Default Naval badges

Alex

I have a book entitled Unforms and Insignia of th Navies of World War 2. It was compiled by US Naval Intelligence for their own recognition purposes. My copy was printed in 1991 by Greenhill books London and the ISBN is1-85367-097-9
Its very well illustrated

Dave.

Default Navy badge book

Hi This is the best book I have found and use it all the time it covers all 3 services but the navy is very well covered especialy branch or trade badges. I bought my copy 7 years ago and paid £50 but you may be lucky!

Badges and Insignia of the British Armed Services.
MAY, (Commander W. E.),; CARMAN (W. Y.) & TANNER (John).
4to. Numerous plates, six of them coloured, numerous illustrations to text. Very good in the original red cloth in dust-jacket. xi, 367 pp. 1974

All the best
BJ
