Essex Troop of Volunteer Militia Cavalry

Greetings fellow collectors. I’m looking for information and reference material on the Essex Troop of Volunteer Militia Cavalry which was active in Sandwich,Ontario (now part of Windsor,Ontario). The unit existed in the 1860-70s time frame. They had brass dragoon helmets and scarlet tunics with green facing. Any photos,drawings or reference material would be greatly appreciated.
