button with antelope's head - ID wanted

This well designed button has the rare backmark of W.H. Core & Co Ld, London.
It is 17 mm.
I have not been able to identify it. Does anyone know what it is?

I have one of these also in 17mm with a Super Quality backmark. The nearest I have been able to find is a line drawing in Button Lines of a similar head with Northern Territories Constabulary Gold Coast around the edge, described as gilt, dating from 1907 - 1929. Maybe one of our Colonial West Africa experts could help?
