Default Letter to American Soldiers 1918

My wife recently found this amongst her father's possessions. It may have belonged to her Great Uncle who emigrated pre War.

Hope others find it interesting.

Chris

As Leigh said, a most interesting read. I was intrigued to see the “Vth”, rather than simply George V. Not sure I’ve seen the “th” suffix after the Latin numeral before.

An item that crops up quite often on ebay, similar to the welcome home letter sent to returning British troops who had been prisoners of war. As I understand the printed handwriting of The King was a new or unusual feature, someone may recall further info. Regards, Paul.
