COMMANDO ASSOCIATION CAR BADGE
The design is based on the Officer Pattern of No.2 Commando - the SS stands for Special Service. The design (based on reproductions of the badge) then had COMMANDO arched title scroll added as a generic Commando Association badge (not just for veterans of No.2 Cdo). The design is faked, as highlighted in this thread, even though only being a post war Association badge - it catches lots of people out.

Speen Bridge Commando Memorial Museum shows one of these badges as a legit Commando badge.
