For completeness, there were parachute schools outside of the UK. The Middle East Training School was numbered No.4 and started at Kabrit in Eygpt in 1942, moving to Ramat David in Palestine in 1943 and then to Gioia del Colle near Bari in Italy in 1944. It then became No.2 PTS located at Aqir in Palestine in 1946.
The Far East PTS was No.3 and started at New Delhi in 1941 before moving to Chaklala in 1943. Presumably their archives will be held at the current No.1 PTS at RAF Brize Norton (or possibly in India in the current Indian PTS at Agra, which was founded in 1948 when the new Indian Army took over military bases in India).
