Default The 5th Fusiliers and it's badges, by Dennis Wood

Hello good people of the forum.
There is a thread regarding this book on the sales part of the forum...
https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=84179
I do think that it deserves a thread of its own.
This book is absolutely superb, it covers cap Badges, collar badges, shoulder titles, buttons, cloth badges and sweetheart badges, for Regular, Volunteer, Territorial, Kitchener's Army etc, etc.
All the badges are beautifully illustrated with great photographs.
Excellent text regarding each badge, and notes on some for more details.
There is also a chapter recording all the Battalions of the Northumberland Fusiliers.
This book is, in my humble opinion, an absolute must for collectors.
And at the price of £50, Inc postage, is excellent value.
I think people would regret not getting a copy once they're gone.
I'm not on commission selling this book by the way ha ha.
Cheers all
Chris

Well said Chris. I am not on commission either, but pleased to note a few items from my own collection made it into Denis's 2nd Edition, and as a NF and DLI collector myself for many years, I have been encouraged by his support and friendship for all of my adult life. It is great to see his book finding its intended audience. He has written a number of books and articles over the years and he is an absolute mine of information on mottos used by Britain and its Commonwealth, including those in other languages. So if anything out there has somebody stumped, I bet Denis can tell you want it is. Just PM me and i will challenge him!
Cheers
Mike
