Default York and Lancaster Officer's Badge

This was my grandfather's Regiment but is not one of his badges. It seems good but no maker's mark and a bit rough on the rear. It seems a lot of work to construct a two part enamelled fake, but one never knows. I would appreciate any views on this

Regards
Nick

Nick, Ivan (badger123) is the expert on these and will be able to advise for sure. It is very similar to the two-part enamelled badge that he shows on his website (link below) and in his excellent book.

I would be happy with it, I think it is fine.
Cheers,

Thank you. I bought it years ago but reassuring nonetheless

Nick, have sent you an email but essentially, your badge looks good to me, there's a quite a lot of variation in these officers badges but the quality of the enameling suggests its OK.
