Default Plastic Hampshire Collars

After several bids the plastic collars shown in the first two photos went for £49 on eBay last night. They were described by the seller, Endici, as '7th Battalion Royal Hampshire WW2 collars' and made from brown plastic.

Interestingly another pair has been on offer for a while as a buy-it-now by a well known and respected dealer from Wandsworth at £8. These are shown in photos 3 and 4 and this time described as 'New Forest Cadets plastic collar badges'.

I can't see any difference between the sets albeit someone was willing to pay £49 instead of just £8 for one of them. What do others think, any difference? And which description is correct?

Not quite in my collecting sphere, but I thought an interesting observation.
Mark
