Default Mountain Training

Anyone familiar with the HLI on Vis in 1943/44?
being mountain-trained would the men have worn any unique badge?
any idea of the badge? thanks, operated at times with 2 Commando.

There wasnt any badge in the British Army for mountain trained troops in WW2.

The white cross of St Andrew on a blue shield with a black border, with a separate scroll in very dark blue on which the the word 'MOUNTAIN' in white.

A separate scroll bearing the word 'MOUNTAIN was adopted around May 1942 when the Division began to train for mountain warfare. The scroll was worn below the shield, initially as a separate item but there are also examples of the scroll and shield on a single piece
