With many thanks to a member of the Forum,I have been able to obtain a badge which was very much on my wanted list.

It is badge worn on the shoulder straps of the 46th ( Liverpol Welsh ) Royal Tank Regiment, which was formed as a duplicate of the 40th ( Kings ) RTR which itself had been formed by the conversion of the 7th Bn Kings Regiment.

It seems membership of the Forum has many benefits.

Do you have a photo or link of an example?

This badge...

If anyone has one ...
Brigade Piron,
I met a guy in the local post office yesterday who was in the Lux Armee (all ex Lux Armee guys are offered a job in the Lux PTT - as a right - shame the same isn't true in the UK - but why would they do that.......) AND, he has one (and the collars), but won't part with it (as you would expect). However, a) he has given me some contacts and b) he told me that they are rarer than hens teeth - even his took 10+ years to get.... with all his contacts.
I will have to show him (and others) some of my badge boards and the contacts which may help. Will keep you informed.
David

a simple 'R in wreath' rangetaker badge, bullion on blue/black.

and a three-badge good conduct badge off-white on blue/black on scarlet as worn by Foot Guards ...... I have all the other made-up sets.

Needed to complete a Foot Guards badge board of "every rank and "trade" badge worn by OR on the Home Service Dress".

It is a VERY BIG board!

Default 414 Coast Regt RA (TA)

Until the postman came 30 mins ago these had been on my Holy Grail list since 1960. And then a duplicate came forth!

In 1999 they were moved to REME to become the 102 Battalion REME (V) Pipes and Drums. The badge lost the RE at the bottom and was replaced by a knot.
