Scorpion - Indian Special Forces - Arm Qualification Badge Post 47
Can anyone tell me anything more about the badge listed in the title usually found in cast brass with two lugs?
I had always assumed it was a badge for passing a "LRDG style" desert warfare course, but happy to be corrected Tel recently sold an example. Only the second example I have ever seen. Thank you.

Is it this badge from 2019 post asking for I.D.
https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ion#post491595 If it is it could possibly be connected to 10 Para (SF) - The Desert Scorpions. Quote:

Thank you for the reply.
That is one type of this badge I have observed, with the red painted sting. I was aware of 10 Para involvement in desert warfare but was unable to confirm as I could not find a photograph of the badge in wear. The placard/shield is very interesting. Its shows a third type of scorpion badge I have not seen.
