Default Help Unknown badge possibly maritime

Bought this badge about a year ago, advertised as RN transport officers badge, Sure it isn't but does appear maritime

Sadly has been modified in its history to be worn as a broach with a pin running north to south. The original lugs for cotter pin located east to west have been removed.

Would be grateful for any help with identification please guys

Default unknown badge ??navy

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your response. I'm no David Bailey and forgive the poor digi camera images The dimensions of the badge are 4.5 cms wide x 4.5 cms in length. As previous and as you might make out from the rear pic the lugs that should have been positioned east and west have been removed and a pin has been crudely soldered to the crown north to south.

Hope this Helps?

Regards
Shaun
