Default Help identify and explain

Hello, I have located this lapel pin in a van seat and looking for help idetifying it? Not sure what the number means on the bottom if it's a service number or membership number? Looking for a little background about it and what was the entitlement to receiver it? Please help me.

For some reason I can't post a pic. I will do my best to explain. It's a brass type pin similar to a poppy shape. With Royal Air Force and a number in each pedal. Air is on top and the number below. In the middle is the alt force emblem. Something a red ename surrounding the emblem with a sum ray type effect in the ename. The Royal Air Force blue enamel and the number 83910 stamped.

Thanks in advance
