Default Another ‘new’ member from The Netherlands

I have been a reading member for a very long time, recently I have re-discovered the Forum.
My name is Richard, from The Netherlands, I started collecting badges and insignia about 40 years ago. First mainly dutch, then US and UK paras, commandos, special forces, etc. Furthermore I have been a member for a long time of both Chute & Dagger UK and C&D US.

Since 25 years my focus is on dutch insignia again, mainly WW2 (incl. some British badges worn by dutch), paras, commandos and marines ….. and army and ribbon, a bit too much sometimes.

My modest collection of British badges have been waiting in boxes for a very long time. All were obtained pre-internet era, so I suppose most of them will be restrikes/copy/fakes. My knowledge on British badges and insignia is very limited, especially how to identify a good one. The many varieties of badges and the pretty long time of existence doesn’t make it easier.*I hope some forum-members can help me ID-ing these in the near future.

I would like to thank Postwarden for the encouragement of this introduction.

Richard

HelloMike,

Thank you for your welcome.
Always nice to meet other collectors with an interest of commandos.
Please contact me if you ever have questions on No. 2 (Dutch) Troop, I do have lots of pictures of them & info on insignia.

Regards Richard
