Default Sussex Bladed OSD

Anyone else come across blades N&S on an OSD .The big question collar or cap perhaps?.

Hi Gary,

It's a cap badge, IMO, N/S blades were not rare and generally the collar badge would have had loops.

Hi Andy, Most 1898 pattern KLR OSD cap badges are NS bladed, there are quite a few 1926 pattern ones too (those most of those are EW - I even have one which was altered from NS to EW !). I suspect there must be many variations for all units.

Thanks for your insight on this,Its the first OSD I have come across like it.I`m happy to have found it, being a little variant for my Sussex collection.
