Possibly you refer to the one shown below?

There's a corresponding bi-metal version of this, is there, Andy?

A couple of pics for you to ponder.

Possibly, I am not sure. I put my badges aside for a while and need to get back to where I left off. Perhaps someone else can try and do a match up as it will be a while before I am back up to speed.

Thank you.

Clearly from the same die. Clearly Vic/Edw. Clearly ORs'. So how to explain the SP and 'bronzing'?

And (same question in relation to this variant) is there is a corresponding bi-metal version?

This BM is from the same die, as far as I can tell. It's quite worn, but it has tell-tale similarities.

Sadly I can't. I tried to communicate with the old museum when it was there, but they couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge my query.

I'd agree, gents. The thin right upright leg of the 'N', the bulging bicep on the right arm (presumably from holding up that olive sprig for over a century) and the Joe Bugner hooter.

How about a look at these super badges as they were meant to be seen?

Really great stuff gents. Thanks so much for all your input so far.

Apologies to Neil s (post #30)... these posts have sometimes been submitted so quickly that I somehow overlooked his white-metal offering. Looks like it's a die match with RSM's B/M, and Nozzer's SP & 'bronzed' badges:

https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...5&postcount=30

https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...5&postcount=64

https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...9&postcount=68

Thanks Neil.

Would any of you (Neil s, Nozzer, RSM) object to my uploading a montage of your photos showing the four different Joe Bugners side-by-side? I appreciate they aren't my images.

JT
