Group portrait of officers of the Duke of Connaught's Own Rifles, showing left to right (front row): Lieutenant Cecil Tweedale, Lieutenant S.D. Gardner, Lieutenant Colonel A.D. McRae, Lieutenant Colonel H.D. Hulme, Colonel Roy, Brigadier General J.D. Stuart, Major Hart-McHarg, Captain Tooley; (middle row): Lieutenant W.J. Hunter, Captain Charles Milne, Lieutenant King, Captain J.S. Matthews, Captain W.J. McManus, Captain P.M. Ferris, Lieutenant W.G. Morrison; (back row): Captain Milner, Lieutenant J.W. Captain C.W. Milner, 7th Battalion (The Robin Hoods), The Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment), Territorial Force. The 7th Battalion was originally a Rifle Volunteer Corps, hence the adoption of Rifle uniforms. It was informally known as the Robin Hood Rifles.
