Default Varieties CEF Badges 188 and 188A

As the CEF Badge Collector knows varities are the spice of life!

This is what makes some of the CEF badges scarcer than others this is just one example of the many varieties.

The first example E-188 is Pickled Copper w/ flat axes, wide numerals and type, pebbled in the centre of the leaf ,plain ribbons, big log less detail, grooves on leaf stem, Maker Dingwall although not maker marked.

The second example E-188A is Pickled Brass w/broad axes, narrow numerals and type, plain ribbons, narrow log more detail,no grooves on leaf stem superior strike and detail, leaf pattern is characteristic of Hemsley and is not maker marked. This is the scarcer of the two varieties.

Just one of the many varieties I will be posting!

I hopes this helps.

Cheers
Rob
