Badge ID
Jackhr,
This is the collar badge of the Indian Army 18th Infantry (or 18th Musalman Rajput Infantry); it was in use prior to 1922, when the regiment disbanded. The regiment served on the North West Frontier, Hong Kong and Tientsin during the Great War. A 2nd Battalion was raised in Assam in 1917 and served in Egypt, protecting the Suez Canal, and latterly Palestine. The 2nd Bn was disbanded in 1920. It was re-raised as the 4th Bn, 9th Jat Regiment in 1941 and has this as its current designation within the Indian Army. George |

Fairly rare but Indian collectors are not numerous either, so not tremendously valuable, I'm afraid. Post it to the Indian section of this forum and you may find a taker.
