Default Connaught Rangers Officers? Helmet Plate

Hi can I run this past you please, looking through K & K photo's black and white and not clear, though I have seen Officers badges which strike me for sheer quality! This one's not so? "Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense" lettering is poorly defined (old Die?) and the Crown - the Jewels strike again is poor? Are these Badges copied? Probably are!! Or just not so well made or again Normal for this Rgt?? Look forward to your thoughts and many thanks in advance! P.M. me to air your concerns too if you wish!

Now this I have just acquired and can return if not kosher but if real then thats different, depends on your thoughts many thanks billy

Surely this must be a copy as everything about it is awful! I do not profess to be an expert on this subject but the few helmet plates l have viewed are far superior than this.

Billy,

Return it.
Whatever it is, it is NOT an original Victorian Officers Helmet Plate.

regards

Indeed, post 2001 rather than pre 1901!
