I wonder if he was related to L S Jameson, who led the "Jameson Raid", and was later Prime Minister of Cape Colony?

Interesting collar badges. They look like the same design as a staff officer's cap badge but I would've expected him to be wearing small gorgets if he was a Staff Captain. Any thoughts?

l have found a reference to a Capt ECK Jamieson (note spelling) awarded MBE. He served in the Pay Corps according to Buchan's history of the South African Forces in France. I was not aware that there was an SA Pay Corps in the FWW.
