Buttons Ltd 4th Hussars

I’ve come across a bi-metal 4th Hussars QC badge with a Buttons LTD Birmingham makers mark on the slider.

The mark is different to other Buttons marks I’ve seen, in that the mark has the Ltd part of the name stamped as LTD in full capitals, as opposed to a large L followed by a smaller underlined TD.

Is this mark correct and period time the badge itself? Unfortunately I can’t share any pictures as I don’t own the badge.
