Default 16 Air Assualt Bde helmet marking

Guys, unusual find, that some may find interesting.

Helmet from 16 Air Assault Bde, with a Pegasus design 'sprayed' into the helmet camouflage.

The ‘CLXIV’ might suggest 144 Parachute Medical Squadron? It’s a Mk 7 helmet, as used in the later stages of Afghanistan. The spray painting through nets was common in the initial issue of the helmet but this was soon banned as it allegedly damaged the helmet.

Colin - useful observation no doubt
I think you mis-transcribed the numerals on the helmet (shows CXLIV)
... but (from google) as you suggest:

"Hence, the value of Roman Numerals CXLIV is 144."

Yes, I’m hopeless at Roman numerals but, as we said at school:

Latin is a language as dead as can be
It killed the ancient Romans
And now it’s killing me!
