Default A study in sheep

I recently bought this Cranleigh OTC badge. I am quite sure that it is genuine. However I show some sheep heads from similar OTC badges that I am 95% certain are wrong. Each sheep has a mouth resembling a bad Al Jonson.

The post 1920 sheep has been rustled as well. A known genuine one and a known fake.

Hello Alan,
This last is really too awful, it is more than just dodgy, even the most brief glance at the scroll and those letters, tells me that it can only be complete dross!
Regards Frank

Any unit wearing this badge was generally referred to as "The Mutton Lancers".

This is a very bad sheep. The lugs' placement are not correct either.

Mike,
only just noticed that (on the image of the genuine post 1920 pattern). Never noticed that before but I have WG badges with a similar mark!

Perhaps a discreet makers impression?

We were only ever there to lend dignity to what would otherwise have just been a brawl.
