Well, actually it wasn't, it was a bit before. It was in December though

So, in early December last year a Machine Gun Corps (MGC) cap badge appeared on ebay. Upon closer inspection the shank (slider) was marked LAMBOURNE & Co BIRMINGHAM, but the pictures were not the best. The mark and shank looked to be correct, but I noticed the listing to late to request clearer pictures. Sadly I missed out as it went for a tidy amount, but I did save the images even though they were inconclusive. I have no doubt that the badge was genuine, but my fear is that the shank could might not have been original to the badge.

My request is;

#1 Was it a forum member that purchased the above badge and would they be willing to share images of the badge either on the forum or by private message.

#2, Has any member got in their collection a Lambourne marked MGC badge that they are willing to show?

I think we will have to keep looking.. Just shows though that not all badge collectors are members of this forum. Perhaps my title is a little cryptic. I will give it a few more days and then start a new thread in the hope of a response........
