Default To do with badge dies

Gents these plates something to do with badge dies or manufacture?

I know that the coloured box numbers on the rear do refer to pattern numbers as it is mentioned on the works card that I have for an anodised alluminium Royal Hussars cap badge. This was reproduced in Chris Marsh's book.

Any thoughts welcome gents.

Regards all
