Default For interest and help

This image was taken 20 September 1941. Can anyone please help to idenify the insigna above the bombadier rank stripes.

Looks more like 2nd SA DIV flash (Circular and split horizontally with yellow above and green below)

Thanks guys. As always with your knowledge and input hopefully I tracked it down. Steven I believe you're correct. I found this reference. Although it appears to be more oval than round, which matches the shape in my photo. The ref I found has blue below. Is the blue just for a different division? http://www.diggerhistory.info/pages-...-col_patch.htm. See attached.

Hi Tony,
The patch you show is a colour patch for the 46th Battalion, Australia. It is a circle, gold over dark blue, woven on jean, and dates to just after the Great War.
