Help with two rising sun's

Hi,
I have these two rising sun badges for ID as to use and possibly period.

The first one is a standard cap badge made by LUKE MELB. It has been altered by having a brooch fitted and the badge silver/nickle plated. I know the nurses hade brooched badges, but these were normally of the collar size.

The second if a blackened brass casting with two E-W copper lugs. The style of lugs is very similar to WWII Egyptian made castings, so this may possibly be from then or maybe even WWI.

Hi, years ago there was a shop at Central Railway Sydney (now long gone) that had a large stock of nickle and chrome plated rising sun hat badges, all original badges but plated by the dealer. This could be one of them. Before WW2 I believe that white metal rising suns were officially worn (have had a Stokes-made one for years that is original) so it is possible that this one MAY be OK. I also have a couple of other suspicious ones in WM.
The second one is a casting of a Stokes hat badge. As you say, they were made in the middle east during wartime but, as with all cast badges, it is impossibe to establish just how old they are. It also MAY be OK!
