First Pattern Cdn DPM Smock Wing
Attached is a pic of what is likely the first pattern Cdn AB Reg't Jump Wing (post 1975). It is on the Airborne/SSF Smock issued to B Gen A Christie. (He was the first Formation Commander to the SSF when it was created in April 1977). Smock is a first issue 1975 date w Plastic Zipper.
The wing pictured is the non bordered version vice the later common bordered version. Nice early example of the wing. FYI 197710.jpg |

Parachute Wings
Yes, it is always nice to have early attributable wings in a collection. The top image is of the wings on my Father's (RSM 2 CER) SSF Smock while the bottom image is a generic pair from my reference collection.

Nice Examples
Nice pair of wings Ed.
Not common to see any patterns of them at the shows, even the original later wings are getting hard to find. Other than the current copies made by Joe D, they seem to have dried up. |
