2 x RAF pilots wings - high price
Hi,
I was watching these two pilots wings on e bay, can anybody enlighten me as to why they reached such a high price, was it because of the red in the crown? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TWO-ORIGI...p2047675.l2557 cheers, Rick |

I would have thought simply two people with rather more money than common sense.

Red in the crown is thought to signify Canadian manufacture (it being common on RCAF wings) so potentially Canadian made RAF Wings. Nice but I'm not sure THAT Nice!
The top set are bog standard flat issue wings. |

The red crown RAF Wing is nice, but this is crazy money.

Frank, did you say 'simply two people' or 'two simple people'?
That makes me feel better about the two I bought a few years ago at an antique shop for five quid each, which I knew were worth about sixty five quid at the time. Sorry, that place doesn't have any more badges because I checked. maybe it's because I bought a whole load of them. At five quid a piece (not all wings, mainly cap badges) I couldn't help myself!
