A friend has asked me to keep an eye open for a cap badge suitable to frame to represent a great uncle killed in Normandy after D-Day. He was with the Calgary Highlanders.
I have managed to pick up a couple, but they are totally different.
Which one, or both, would be suitable to depict the badge her uncle wore, and why?
Grateful for your assistance, both me and his relatives.
Ian H

Ian, there is no clear cut reference as to which one is more appropriate.

The bronze coloured one does seem to be more of an officer quality badge?

Officers' badges are sterling silver and gilt. For unknown reasons, the Calg H had several finishes on the other ranks' badges.
