Default Princess Anne Visits the Gurkhas

Just saw this and really enjoyed it. I think Princess Anne is a remarkable lady. I wrote to her once and although she did not personally reply, I did receive a very nice letter from her secretary with a very nice picture of the Princess. Came on Royal Palace stationary, and is a real treasure to me.

This short video is her visit to The Queen's Gurkha Signals. Note their hat badge and tartan.

I would have been so nervous, as I am sure a lot of them were!

Mike, I would have been thrilled to have gotten to see her in person. Were you part of the unit?

I also noticed she was wearing spurs on her boots, but Signals badges - which I thought was interesting.

HRH is Colonel in Chief of The Royal Corps of Signals.
I had the pleasure of meeting her when she visited
Kingston in 2003.

She came to see us in Colchester when I was part of 16 Air Assault Brigade, I was on duty, saluted her as she drove out, she waved at me, closest I got to HRH Princess Anne ha ha!
