101 (City of London) Engineer Regiment (Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Search)
Slightly short notice, but for anyone who finds themselves in the City tomorrow...
...the 101 (City of London) Engineer Regiment (Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Search) will conduct a parade in Guildhall Yard, to mark the Regiment’s return to London, and its recent change of title. 101 (City of London) Engineer Regiment (Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Search) has a close connection with the City of London. The Regiment traces its history back to the 1st Middlesex Engineers. Elements of the Regiment have been actively involved in securing the City from the threat of unexploded ordnance since the Blitz. In 2015 the Regiment was granted ’Privileged Regiment’ status in recognition of its long and distinguished association with the City. As part of the restructuring of the British Army (‘Army 2020 Refine’), the Regiment became a wholly reserve regiment, its headquarters moved to London, and its title was changed to 101 (City of London) Engineer Regiment (Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Search) to reflect its operational tasks. 101.jpg Regards, JT Last edited by Jelly Terror; 12-07-22 at 03:58 PM.
