London Irish Rifles
The London Irish Rifles soon to be 15th (Loos) Company of the Irish Guards. The caubeen and green trousers will no longer be worn, Irish Guards badges and insignia will be adopted

Id read about the London Scottish becoming a part of the Scots Guards too.
What will happen to the other infantry units in London. Is the London Regiment badge out the window too ? |

And like the Liverpool Scottish no loyalty from the powers that be after more than a century of loyal service for which many members of these units paid with their lives.

I am sorry to be reading this as The London Scottish have always been a favorite Regiment. But as Mr. Dylan once said/sang - The times they are a chang'n!

This ties with what Griff has said in his end of the era post,all the individuality of companies,squadrons etc is being eroded away.

I was on the last parade on Sunday at Flodden Road TA centre it was sad but changes will never stop happening we had a great turn out there are photos on the LIR web site
