32 (Scottish) Signal Regiment (Volunteers) picture take November 2009 wearing TOS.

32 (Scottish) Signal Regiment (Volunteers) picture taken 06 May 2006 wearing beret.

Adoption of the TOS narrowed down now to 2006-2009.

"British Army Badges by Lt Col & Mrs R Hodhes, published 2005 states that 32nd (Scottish) Signal Regiment (Volunteers) was wearing the beret with Grant tartan badge backing but that all ranks of 51 Signals Squadron were wearing the Tam o'Shanter, all officers and senior ranks wearing the Glengarry with a "special" Royal Signals badge.

Thank you, Leigh! This is great information. I need to add LTC Hodges' book to my library.

So, the 32nd may have adopted the TOS between 2006 and 2009, but the 51 Signal Squadron adopted it earlier.

Junior ranks now wear the glengarry with a red toorie. I wonder now when it was adopted.

I need to do some research on the 51 Signals Squadron.

All these changes in non regular units are mindblowing, I think Ian Kelly wrote a history of the North West TA Signals unit he was CO of at one time.

I know the Lad bottom left of the photo. He has been out of the army a while now though.
