Yes, here is the one's in my collection except the last badge (red circle) which I believe was a prototype not authorised for use.
1- on slider, 2- lugs, 3- cloth/bullion.

In the run up to the formation of the MoD Police, the "amalgamation working party" sent samples of the suggested combined force badges to detachments of the three former forces which were to be merged. Comments were invited and from these a decision was arrived at as to what form the new badges would take.

The two examples pictured were sent to me in the mid 1970's by Superintendent Arthur Salter, who was at that time the Senior Police Officer at HM Dockyard, Chatham.

In theory there should be a good few of these "samples" about, particularly having regard to the fact that "sets" were sent throughout the UK to the Admiralty, Air Force Dept., and Army Dept. Constabularies. It seems that they were not recovered and remained in the possession of those who received them.

Both badges (pictured) are chrome plated with hard fired enamel.

In recent years there have been several examples of the MoD Police star cap badge appearing which have an "all chrome" finish. The chrome plating is invariably very bright and quite thinly applied. The badges usually have lug fittings. I'm fairly sure that these are of recent manufacture and are repros.

The mod police had a stand at the local Sunday fair last weekend, my little boy managed to get this little lot.

Jerry, Am I correct in assuming the badges are worn on a green backing? Notice all of your badges have that.

Thanks,

Terry

MoD Police badges are not worn with a green backing. However, those of the War Dept. Constabulary (Army Dept. Constabulary), did have a green backing. That backing was simply one which was visible through the voided cipher only.

Just to clear things up about the green backing I use. This is just for display in my collections and no other reason.
If a badge requires a coloured backing suitable to the Regiment, unit etc this would be included.

Thanks Dave. Just got a little confused with the prototype badge you showed having a red ring. Was this badge other ranks? Dave. Having looked around the net I haven't come across an image of one being worn. Just the presumably earlier round one with the star centre, worn by other and senior ranks.

The red enamel badge shown is from my album, it's a prototype and was never issued.

Hello Phil, my last post was a bit confusing. When I asked "was this badge other ranks?" I was actually referring to the blue ring one I had posted and not your prototype. Just to make things clear.
Thanks
Billyh

Billy,
The blue ring QC star badge which you show, is the current cap badge for Inspectorate ranks in the MoD Police. It looks a good genuine example. Ranks below Inspector wear the chrome plated (no enamel) wreath. Ranks above Chief Inspector now wear a bullion wire wreath with a large QC in the centre. Hope this clears up any confusion.

Dave.
