RNDP Shoulder Title
Please may I ask this question, I need to know for certain which force wore this shoulder title. It is the [B]ROYAL NAVAL DOCKYARD POLICE [B] in white metal, but where? I do have a feeling that it could have been worn when the Admiralty were responsible for the dockyards in the then 'CEYLON' but cannot find evidence of this. In all these years I have been unable to find any photograph of the force in Ceylon. They would have worn the Generic Dockyards cap badge etc. I really need this information to shortly complete a book 'Admiralty, Army and RAF locally raised police forces overseas. I look forward in anticipation should anyone be able to help in anyway.
Thank you, Harry Wynne. |

RNDP
Hong Kong had a sizeable contingent of RNDP pre(and possibly post ) war.Have a look at the website www.gwulo.com,you may get a lead from there.

RNDP Shoulder Title
Thank you for your reply. I'm afraid it is not Hong Kong, as they were known as the 'ROYAL NAVAL YARD POLICE' and I have attached the image of their shoulder title and also as worn by a Divisional Inspector. That was also a tough nut to break through. But will just look for that 'piece of luck'.
Thanks again, Harry. |
