Default BRITISH “28TH LONDON (ARTISTS RIFLES) REGIMENT

I am curious about this badge. It has a flat back, tangs, is metal although it appears to be plastic. Wondering which type of headdress this would be worn on and if it is authentic.

Thank you for your time.

It appears to be an OSD (officer service dress) badge for the cap. Very strange make however....

I thought the tangs looked "weird"...do you think they were added afterward?
