Default Double Scroll or Chevron Cap Badge ?

Here is a postcard which has had me stumped for a while, not the clearest of images but the cap badge, to my eyes at least, appears to consist of a double scroll or chevron with a solid shape above.

Unfortunately the card reverse is blank and there is no Studio mark to give any clues re the location it was taken.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, will probably sell it on at some stage if I ever get a positive identification.

Best regards Simon.

Leigh, Tony,

Thanks for the suggestions, certainly a similar shape and form, under a glass the two scrolls appear distinctly separate which had me confused.

In a sense the Green Howard's badge of the time has the apprarance of having two seperate chevrons, albeit there would be a horizontal section in the centre of the upper one.
