1920s Indian bazzar work.
A sandalwood tabletop cigarette dispencer profusly chip carved with an intricate floral design. When opened it presented 54 cigarettes in different directions.
The lid carved with a BW style badge in high relief this appears to be a lesser quality work than the rest of the box. St. Andrew has been replaced with AP monogram the motto is misspelt and the sphinx has become a duck.
1st Bn in India 1919-36.

Silver prize spoon by AJB Birmingham 1929 (Andrew James Bailey).
Engraved on the stem Mr W.A. 1930, I believe this refers to William Anderson son of C.S.M. Anderson 2/6th RH served WW1.
Badge finial upon back to back rifles, nice rat tail pattern on back of bowl.

Two Edwardian silver parcel gilt and enamel spoons, stamped JRG&S Birmingham 1906/7.

Officers SP/Gilt shoulder belt plate rare reversed scroll variation only worn 1935/6. Swallow tail scrolls the top pair extending beyond the star. Gilt toned to a deep bronze colour.
From 1881-1934 the official title of the regiment was The Black Watch (Royal Highlanders). Yet titles appearing on badge scrolls always read "The Royal Highlanders" "BLack Watch".
The title from 1935-2006 was The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment).
The badge scrolls then read "The Black Watch" "Royal Highlanders" reversing the previous order. In 1936 the scrolls were dropped altogether.

Compare this to post no 195 the SBP overlay, the word "The" moves from top scrolls to bottom.
Compare to post no 207 the 1935 pass, where it moves back to top again.
All this tinkering of wording led to the abandonment of scrolls.

This plate had not been touched for 86 years, pictures below show it before a light cleaning.

I do have this TA badge that has no "The" at all. Was this unique to the Territorials?

The word was dropped on this particular die because of short scrolls and large letters. See my post no 47 for details.

Four prize shooting spoons by Walker & Hall Sheffield with their trademark pennant. 1911,1912.
Arms of the City of Dundee within an oval belted strap inscribed Black Watch Rifle Club. Barlycorn twist to the stems. Similar to my post no 170 but TF version with different title.

The embroidered panel? Very nice, part of a range including many different units commercially produced to that design (I have only one, the NF).

Singleton at bottom is WM example.
