Default King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry

Hello, I wonder if there are any KOYLI collectors who might have an idea about the badge in the photograph. It is the first pattern of the officer's forage cap badge 1881 - 1890, but with a scroll below. Unfortunately the scroll is not legible, but there is no reference that I can find in the dress regulations to any of their badges having a scroll of any kind.
The photo is a part photo and about 20mm wide by 50mm high.
