1870's N.S.W Alexander Henry Rifle Bayonet
this one is worth a look - hard to find bayonet.........
• 1870's New South Wales - Alexander Henry rifle Bayonet. • kings head trademark of the firm Weyersburg • 578mm (22.75inch) re-curved yataghan blade was intended for use with the short rifle and the artillery carbine. • muzzle ring diameter of 20mm (3/4 inch), and the crossguard ending in a spatulate quillon. • Stamped A M C for NSW Army Medical Corp Total rifles purchased in the 1870's - 6,000 to 7,000 I just need to find the other bayonet with the short, straight 458mm (18inch) sawback blade which was intended for the AH rifle to complete the set......... Would sell if the price was right but I'm not sure about all the way to Aussie though, as customs can be funny about weapons, both sides of the water. unless you know different.see pics. Cheers John.
