Backing for a 51st Highland badge

Hoping to get some help on choosing a good (but proper) backing for a staybright 51st Highland badge I recently picked up. I have a display with some badges & buttons of various Scottish regiments, most now amalgamated into the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
I've seen a picture of this badge on a glengarry cap on a black silk rosette backing (looks like the black rosette is a common backing on glengarry's???). I'm wondering if there is also a proper tartan backing that would have been used for this badge/regiment that would be good for display.

I can only say that in the case of the Liverpool Scottish when they wore the Highland Brigade/ Volunteers badge ( 1967-1992 ) they had a Forbes tartan patch behind the badge on the Tam.On the glengarry they had the black rosette.

Someone else will no doubt be able to tell you about the backing on the Tam for the regiments which eventually became the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

Hi, I believe the following backings were all worn at some stage between 1958 and 1992 with the “crucified moose” badge (would be grateful for any corrections).

Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders -
TOS = Govt No.1A (same as Royal Regt of Scotland).
Glengarry = Black rossette, red/white dicing, red tourie.

Black Watch -
TOS = No badge or backing, just red hackle.
Glengarry = No rossette, no dicing, red tourie.

Gordon Highlanders -
TOS = Gordon.
Glengarry = Black rossette, red/white/black dicing, red tourie.

London Scottish -
TOS = Hodden Grey.
Glengarry = Black rossette, no dicing, royal blue tourie.

Liverpool Scottish -
TOS = Forbes backing with royal blue hackle.
Glengarry = Black rossette, red/white/black dicing, red tourie.

Queens Own Cameron Highlanders -
TOS = Cameron of Erracht backing with royal blue hackle.
Glengarry = Black rossette, no dicing, red tourie.

Queens Own Highlanders -
TOS = Cameron? backing with royal blue hackle.
Glengarry = Black rossette, no dicing?, red tourie.

Seaforth Highlanders -
TOS = MacKenzie (Seaforth).
Glengarry = Black rossette, red/white/black dicing, red tourie.

The Highlanders -
TOS = Gordon = Troops, Cameron = Pipers.
Glengarry = Black rossette, red/white/black dicing, red tourie.

Pipers wore a plain dark blue (black) glengarry regardless of Regt (BW no rossette).

The Military Band of 51 (Scottish) Brigade continued to wear the Highland badge with a red hackle until the formation of the Royal Regt of Scotland when they eventually (2008/9?) changed to the new Regimental glengarry with RRS badge and cocks feather.

They wore the Highland badge on both the balmoral bonnet (in No.1 Dress with no rossete or dicing, a red hackle and a red tourie) and the TOS (in combats with a red hackle and no tartan backing).

I think the Lovat Scouts were also part of 51 Highland at some stage but unsure of bonnet details.

A PRI version of the badge is also worn on Pipers cross belts of 7 Scots Pipes and Drums.

Does anyone know where someone could obtain a black resette, like that on a glengarry cap, but not sewn onto the cap? I think I'd like to display this badge on a rosette, but cannot find where I could buy one.
