Its a current pattern Army Air Corps collar badge. Not sure if its anodised alluminium or 'new metal.

All the best

Have then gone back to the old first pattern (complete badge)?

Perhaps they have reintroduced the earlier pattern of eagle in wreath design. This because there is only space for a single clutch pin on the eagle only design. On No2 Dress this would be likely to swivel around? A similar issue is experienced with the single clutch pin Royal Army Physical Training Corps collar badge.

The ones (Eagle only) I have seen have a pin on each wing, similar to the officers lugged version.

It's a lapel pin not an issue collar badge. Currently available on ebay and elsewhere.
