Default Unknown "JFS" wings, possibly airline.

I am struggling to identify these wings. I am guessing that they are possibly a commercial airline or training school. Can anyone please identify them?

You are right, I clearly wasn't wearing my reading glasses whilst I was typing.

I have spent over an hour trawling the internet for aviation wings and cannot find a match.

Don't know if it's WW2, but have you looked here?

http://www.ww2wings.com/main.shtml

Under the wings of Heroes if you scroll down, you'll see my father

Good luck,

Here is a link to some collectors of civilian wings. https://wingcollector.com/
It also has links to other wing colections.

Dave,

thank you for the link, that was the site that I had been looking through.

I was assuming that the initials were for an English speaking airline but will look again.

R J S is a strange combination of initials for an airline, with only the letter S making any sense in English, as in R J Service. If the R represents Royal, I would expect to see a crown above the central device.

The other alternative is that the J S might stand for Jump School, but if so, I would expect to see a parachute as part of the design.

Wow, that looks to be the book to have for British aviation wings but at £49, I am going to have to stifle my curiosity. I only have one pair of wings to look up.

Thank you for posting the link.

Looking at the index of the book Jon mentioned it has the entry RJS Aviation Ltd. The badge is shown on page 140 so if you can find someone who has the book perhaps they could look it up for you.

Just did a quick search on Google for RTJS Aviation and got numerous hits. Perhaps one of them might be helpful. Also, maybe give you a way to contact them and ask them directly about it.

https://www.google.com/search?q=rjs+...hrome&ie=UTF-8

Looks to be a small carrier/private for hire operation.
