Neither...lapel pin worn by Canadian veterans of WW1.

The BESL was an auxiliary service during the SWW. They provided entertainment and other services for the armed forces. The British Empire Service League was a veterans organization that worked in co-operation with the Knights of Columbus, the Salvation Army and the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA). The duties were split between the four organizations, and one of them did provide canteen type services. The BESL eventually became the Royal Canadian Legion. Exactly what it is the artifact?
An article on their inisignia can be found here: https://servicepub.wordpress.com/201...ces-1939-1945/

Hi Nemo

Well, what is it? Throw us a frikkin boooone!

To me it looks like it is printed on cloth.

Both sides? How big is the cloth? Is it a flag? Table linen? Pocket sew-on?

regards
Darrell
