There was a pair of these at the last Etobicoke Show that could be had for $330.00.

This is one of the great concerns about reproductions. Initially the word gets around about the fake, but then a few years later, the information has slipped from the "front page" and the reproductions work their way into collections.
It appears that research on the part of both dealers and collectors is lacking. Greed is one thing, but those that don't do their due diligence will pay a price.

After I messaged the vendor, he replied that he had had a number of these in the past and they were not a modern manufactured item. The one on auction was an original. It was the same as the version at the bottom of the image.
