Hi

Please can anyone tell me if the Scottish Horse had a badge that can be specifically identified as pre WW1 to WW1? I can't find specific dates for the types that I have found. I can find two different patterns one with no crown and the date 1900 and another type with the full dates of the Boer war.

See this thread for an overview of some of the earlier badges. Without seeing the actual badges I believe you are describing the 1903-1906 pattern (crownless) and the post 1906 badges (crowned, the type of crown helping determine the period)
